At AgriLife Research, we see immense potential for advanced remote sensing to benefit our state.
Natural resources and agriculture contribute greatly to the Texas economy. Research, development, and commercialization of advanced sensors within the land-grant university system could promote the rise of many new, Texas-based companies and start-ups to assist Texas landowners. New sensor systems will provide farmers and landowners with new tools to sustainably feed the world. They will help our state’s agriculture remain competitive in the global economy.
Accordingly, we are working to attract additional world-class experts and train more students in rapid-detection sensor systems and intelligent information systems.
As Texas’ premier agency for agricultural and life sciences research, we will continue to conduct research and drive development and commercialization of advanced sensors, helping to grow our state’s economy, protect our natural resources, and enhance Texans’ quality of life.
